Install OpenVZ Virtuozzo Template

If you are using SolusVM as your hypervisor then to install our templates it’s best to use a program called WinSCP. WinSCP will give you a graphical interface where you can navigate to the required folder then upload the SolusVM template from your PC. If you wish we can provide you will a download link which will allow you to download the image to your Master but you will need to contact our support team for this.

Assuming you have downloaded WinSCP then enter your master details in the connection box, IP in the Hostname field and your SSH port. If your port is 22, consider changing that to increase security.

Next, navigate to the /vz/template/cache and upload your file here. If you have purchased a Version 3 template (Virtuozzo) ensure you have uploaded both files to this folder of the template will not work.

Next, in your master add the template under Media > Add OpenVZ Template. Select the file you just uploaded and the correct architecture, usually x86_64. Now save the template and use the media sync function to sync the new template to any slaves in your cluster. You can now use the new template to create new VPS Servers.
